Yes, in my experience nostalgia always works with a 20-25 year cycle, likeįirst half of the 2000s - nostalgia about late 70s to early 80s (period ~1975-1984) While it's good to remember the good times in life and appreciate due to how fast The world seem to have gotten a lot of Teenagers and Early 20 somethings are very nostalgic for the Late 00's and Early 10's as am I but things organically happens every 20-30 Years from that time frame, such as in the 1970's with no Internet at all for the mass Public, they literally just had to go off of memory from the time period and 'Oldies' on the Radio with 'Happy Days' and 'Greese' for the 1950's, and went on to the 90's with 'That 70's Show' ironically and several music sampling that time frame.Īnd the earliest I ever say any acknowledgement of the 00's as a whole just anywhere was around 2016/17 on a show when they mentioned 2002, the 20's just began and there will be plenty of time to be nostalgic for the Early 10's when that time becomes more clear especially for everyone who was Grade School Kids at the time it was still pretty recent in memory just a bit dated now.

Know one who personally really loves his childhood in the Late 70's with Justice League, Scooby-Doo, The $1 Million Dollar Man Steve Austin, Starsky and Hutch and still talks about them cause it was his childhood. They're just at a point in their life now that they don't have the same admiration for the childhoods as Millennials probably due to their stage of life atm. Gen X while not as extreme since they didn't grow with the internet also had appreciation for their childhoods as well back in the Late 90's and Early 00's hence why there were several live action movies and references to He-Man, Transformers, Inspector Gadget etc. For the most part really which is why Millennials at times are called the Peter Pan Generation since they truly love going back to their childhood, I don't mind remicincing and it's good to have good memories but they certainly had a major problem with it several Years ago basically believing that their childhoods was the only ones that mattered.
